Pineberry French 75
Brunch season is upon us y’all and this Pineberry French 75 is the perfect cocktail to kick things off! If you’ve never heard of pineberries before, they are a fun fruit created with the combination of pineapples and strawberries. The taste is very similar to a strawberry with just a sliver of tartness. It’s such a fun and eye catching fruit and it just so happens to pair wonderfully with rosé!
How convenient!
Whenever I’m hosting a brunch, prosecco or a rosé is an obvious must have. However, I like to create a beautiful cocktail to make everything a little extra special. A signature cocktail goes a long way at a party or gathering and brunch is no exception.
A French 75 sounds like such a high end and somewhat pretentious cocktail, but honestly, it’s so simple to make! The classic recipe calls for just lemon juice, champagne, and gin. Because of that, it’s so easy and fun to try new variations and flavors.
So let’s get to it!

What You’ll Need to Make a Pineberry French 75
For 2 Servings
- 8 Pineberries
- 4 oz of Gin
- Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
- Sparkling Rosè
- Ice
- pineberry and lemon twist for garnish
How To Make It
In a cocktail shaker, pour in the first three ingredients and muddle the pineberries. Muddle until the pineberries are completely smashed and add ice. Shake for at least 30 seconds. Take your glass and pour the pineberry mixture until the glass is 1/4 full. Top the rest with chilled sparkling rosé and serve immediately.
I never have been the most avid fan of rosé or prosecco on it’s own, but I absolutely love the taste and bubbles they bring when added to a cocktail! This recipe is pretty no fuss, whatever sparkling bubbles you have on hand will do just fine.
