Limoncello Thyme Fizz
After recently finding out we’ll be traveling to Italy later this year, my mind has been wandering around Italian themed cocktails! And what’s more Italian than Limoncello? This Limoncello Thyme Fizz is a refreshing take of a classic Limoncello Spritz, making it a perfect summer drink!
Limoncello on it’s own can be super sweet and tart. The two main ingredients are lemon zest and sugar. So it’s important to balance out the flavors when you’re using this classic liqueur. This Limoncello Thyme Fizz is wonderfully balanced with fresh lemon juice, fresh thyme, and sparkling water.
So let’s get to it!

What You’ll Need To Make a Limoncello Thyme Fizz
For Two Servings
- 4 oz of Gin
- 1/2 a Lemon – juiced
- 3 oz of Limoncello
- 3 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 1 Tbs of melted honey or simple syrup
- 2 oz of sparkling water per serving
How To Make It
In a cocktail shaker full of ice, add in the first five ingredients and shake for about 30 seconds. Fill your cocktail glass about halfway with crushed ice, pour up your drink, and add a splash of sparkling water. I love to take a classic coupe glass or a vintage spritz glass to add a little glitz and glamour. Plus, cocktails taste even better when they’re even more gorgeous, am I right?
Garnishing is super simple with a classic lemon wheel and a fresh thyme sprig to finish it off! I just love the pale yellow color this cocktail gives! It looks just as refreshing as it tastes!
Want To Make It For a Crowd?
This Limoncello Thyme Fizz cocktail would make a great choice for a signature cocktail for your next spring or summer event! My top recommendations would be for a lunch, cocktail party, or at a bridal shower! Since my sister-in-law’s bridal shower is Italian themed, I think this would make the perfect signature drink! This recipe is easy to double, triple, etc. to accommodate the amount of servings you’ll need! The easiest way to serve would to be in a large beverage dispenser ( I LOVE this rattan one that’s on sale). I would fill the dispenser with ice and add in the first five ingredients. Stir really well and add in the sparkling water when you’re ready to serve.
