Strawberry Paloma
This refreshing strawberry paloma recipe is the perfect cocktail to welcome the summer season! With the classic paloma flavors and sweet strawberries, it’s definitely a recipe I’ll be reaching for all season (and so will you)!
Strawberries are always readily available in the summer so I’m always experimenting new ways to enjoy them (in cocktails and food)!
Between home DIY projects, working, and a number of trips we’ve planned this year, I’ve been leaning towards keeping things simple, seasonal, but still delicious. Which is easy to do when you have seasonal, high quality ingredients. Plus, when you shop seasonal in the grocery store, you even save money. So it’s a total win all around!
The strawberries give the classic paloma a nice sweet flavor, making it easy to enjoy on these hot summer days.
So let’s get to it!

What You’ll Need To Make a Strawberry Paloma
For One Serving
- 2 strawberries – sliced & stemmed
- 1.5 oz of Tequila
- 2 oz of grapefruit juice
- 1/2 a Lime – juiced
- 1 Tbs of melted honey or agave
- splash of Topo Chico or sparkling water
How To Make It
In an empty cocktail shaker, add your sliced strawberries, lime juice, and tequila. Muddle the strawberries until they’re broken down. Then add the honey, grapefruit juice, and ice and shake for at least 30 seconds. In a cocktail glass rimmed with salt and full of ice, pour over your paloma and garnish with strawberry slices and enjoy immediately.
If you want to enjoy your strawberry paloma as a mocktail, I would just substitute the tequila for more Topo Chico or sparkling water.
Another fun option is taking frozen strawberries, adding them to a blender with the rest of the ingredients, and creating a frozen strawberry paloma! If you don’t have frozen strawberries, you can always add about 1/2 a cup of ice!
What’s your favorite cocktail to welcome summer?
Cheers,
