DIY Spring Basket Wreath

This gorgeous DIY Spring Basket Wreath is one of the easiest ways to dress up your front door for Spring! The best part about this basket wreath is that it’s so versatile! You can use this wreath all year round by switching out the florals to match the season!

Since it’s Spring, I decided to go with a gorgeous selection of Peonies and Ranunculus. Since they both have a circular shape, they’re much easier to bunch together for the basket wreath.

What You’ll Need for Your Spring Basket Wreath:

All the supplies I grabbed for this DIY Spring Basket Wreath were from Hobby Lobby and I have them all linked here on the list!

Time to DIY!

So with the faux flowers, there’s two ways you can go about it. You can either cut the stems to your desired height, or just simply bend them. Faux flowers can quickly add up money wise, so if you decide to cut them, you loose the height versatility for future bouquets. However, since we have a basket, the bent stems will be well hidden.

Take your flowers and determine the perfect height for your basket. I kept most of them close to the edge to give it a full bloom look. Once you’ve decided that, bend or trim your flowers to the desired height. My basket was tall enough to hold the flowers securely. But if yours is a tad short, you can use some floral tape or floral foam bricks to keep your bouquet secured.

The most important part of a bouquet is the part that’s often forgotten: greenery.

Greenery is used in bouquets for multiple reasons. It adds depth, height, texture, and is perfect for filling gaps!

Pro Tip: Clip some greenery from your yard or garden to add a local element to your bouquet. I used some branches from a young spruce pine tree in my backyard for extra height.

This is where the fun part happens! Experiment with your arrangement and try different looks until you get your perfect bouquet! After your flower bouquet is looking perfect, tie a ribbon around your basket for an extra layer and a pop of color! I thought the blue gingham ribbon gave a nice contrast and gingham is the official print of spring!
